Two new electronic reference works

The library now has access to the following titles via ScienceDirect:

  • Encyclopedia of Infant and Early Childhood Development
    The foreword states, “This is an impressive collection of what we have learned about infant and child behavior by the researchers who have contributed to this knowledge. …This wonderful reference will be a valuable resource for all of those interested in child development, be they students, researchers, clinicians, or passionate parents.”  A review of this title is available here.
  • International Encyclopedia of Public Health
    The foreword states, “The International Encyclopedia of Public Health is a tour de force in sorting through the history and prospects of important (and often contested) arenas of research and policy..While these volumes are published fully in English, contributors hail from 40 countries and many different languages.”  A review of this title is available here.
