All bound science periodicals (Q call number) are being transferred from Library North 2 to Library South 3. Staff members of the Periodical Service Center on LN3 and Interlibrary Services on LN2 are available to answer questions regarding items included in the move, which is expected to take up to two weeks.
The shift is the next step toward creating a new science library on floors 3 and 4 of Library South. When complete, the library will feature more than 73,000 science titles, a new reference desk, and nine computer workstations equipped with science research databases.
Creation of the new science library is part of the Library Transformation at Georgia State, a $20 million comprehensive renovation of libraries North and South to accommodate the emerging needs of the universitys diverse, growing student body. More information about the transformation is at http://www.library.gsu.edu/transformation.
