Business Databases

The following business databases are now available to users on the Georgia State University campus. 

The Integrated Gale Business Research Database contains detailed information on 448,000 U.S. and international companies, thorough histories and chronologies of major companies, and in-depth coverage of over 1,000 major U.S. and global industries including full-text essays, rankings, market shares, trade and professional associations, and statistical analyses. 

General BusinessFile ASAP:  Use this database to research all business and management topics. Includes directory listings for over 150,000 companies as well as investment analysts’ reports on major companies and industries.

Predicasts PROMT:  PROMT — Predicasts Overview of Markets and Technology. Use this database to research companies, the products and technologies they produce, and the markets in which they compete. Includes summaries and full text from nearly 1,000 business and trade journals, industry newsletters, newspapers, market research studies, news releases, and investment and brokerage firm reports.

Research Bank Web:  This site is designed for use by business students, faculty and research staff for class work, case research and career development.  Research Bank Web brings together some of the world’s most sought-after investment research and industry analysis in one easy-to-use product accessible on the Internet.  It contains research from over 450 investment banks and 150 trade associations as well as fundamental financial information from Moody’s Investors Service.
