Come Eat Your Lunch!! Brown Bag Lecture, October 16th at noon Library South 8th Floor, in the Colloquium Room

Diana Eidson, Assistant Director of Lower Division Studies and a Ph.D. Candidate in Rhetoric and Composition will be giving a Lecture on , “Using Affective Discourse in Social Movements: Case Studies from Operation Dixie to Occupy Wall Street.”

Georgia State University Library’s Special Collections and Archives are filled with primary information documenting such individual and grass roots activism like Occupy Atlanta, from correspondence to protest signs. Firsthand accounts in GSU’s oral history collections serve to record activists’ times of “vigorous campaigning.” The lecture will begin at noon tomorrow, Tuesday, the 16th in the Colloquium Room as part of the Archives month theme, “The Gift of Activism: Which Side Are You On” exhibit.
