Urban Studies Brown-Bag Discussion
Dr. Jonnell Allen-Robinson, Community Geographer from Syracuse University will present
“Points, Lines and People: Plotting a Course for Community Geography” at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16th at the Visualization Wall, 437 Petit Science Center. Dr. Jonnell Allen-Robinson is a member of Syracuse Community Geography, which creates partnerships between the geography department and community organizations. Using geographic information systems (GIS) and community-based mapping, Syracuse Community Geography assists local organizations by identifying underserved populations and by determining connections between urban and social environments and health issues.
