LIMITED OPENING – THURSDAY, JANUARY 13, 2011
Georgia State University faculty and staff are to report to work at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011. THERE ARE NO CLASSES ON THURSDAY. All university services, including the Mega One Stop Shop, library, bookstore and Student Recreation Center, will open at 11 a.m. The University anticipates that classes will begin on Friday, January 14, 2011. Please continue to monitor this website for updated information. Spring 2011 late registration has been extended through Friday, January 21, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. The final fee payment deadline has been extended to Friday, January 21, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. While the main streets, highways and interstates around Metro Atlanta are open, we encourage faculty, staff and students to exercise caution and personal judgment in traveling to campus, as road conditions vary throughout the region. If local conditions in your area are unsafe tomorrow, faculty and staff should contact their supervisor. In light of continued cold temperatures, be prepared that icy patches may still remain or develop on walkways and sidewalks.
