Closure and Detour – Library North Entrance
The Library North entrance is closed for construction and expansion of the GSU green space. If you’re planning to visit Library North this summer, here are the key updates:
What You Need to Know
- The main entrance to Library North is closed starting Monday, May 11
- The closure is expected to last approximately 60 days while demolition work takes place outside the building.
- You’ll see signage along Decatur Street and Collins Street directing you to the Library South entrance.
- The library is still open
- Study spaces, services, and resources remain available throughout the closure.
- You’ll need to use alternate entrances
- All visitors should enter and exit the library through Library South (follow the signs outside the library)
- Saxby’s Café
- Saxby’s Cafe reopens on June 1.
- You’ll be able to enter and exit through the doors next to Saxbys doors during regular hours.
- Some routes inside the building will be different
- The greenway will be closed
- Certain stairwells may be unavailable
- Signs will direct you to alternate paths and exits
- Extra signage and staff support will be in place
- Library staff and security will be available to help guide you and answer questions.
