Georgia State University recently filed their Appellee Brief in response to the Publishers’ Appellant brief.

Additionally, five amicus briefs were filed.  Briefs in support of Georgia State and for affirming the District Court decision in favor of Georgia State include:

• Brief of Amicus Curiae Academic Authors and Legal Scholars in Support of Defendants-Appellees and Affirmance

• Brief of Amicus Curiae the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries

•  Brief of Amici Curiae American Library Association, Association of College and Research Libraries, and Association of Research Libraries in Support of Affirmance (filed in conjunction with the Electronic Frontier Foundation)

• Brief of Amici Curiae American Council on Education, Association of American Universities, Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, American Association of Community Colleges, and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Support of Appellees Mark P. Becker, et al., and Affirmance

• Brief of Amici Curiae American Association of University Professors, International Communication Association, Modernist Studies Association, Society for Cinema and Media Studies, Peter Decherney, and Tsitsi Jaji in Support of Appellees
