Digitized PATCO Records Available for Research Online
Digital Library Services has completed half of the digitization project for the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) records which is now publicly available for research. PATCO was formed in 1968 to represent the interests of federally employed air traffic controllers and was dissolved in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan following a nationwide strike. Located in the Southern Labor Archives, our new PATCO splash page explains the importance of this collection to labor history research and provides links directly to the digitized series—
- Series I: President’s Files
- Series II: Vice President’s Files
- Series III: Regional Vice President’s Files
- Series V: Strike Files
Four more series are currently being digitized from the collection as part of this NHPRC funded project. All other series are linked to their respective finding aids. Stay tuned for the remaining series!
