Feed Your Senses
As part of the Rialto Center for the Arts “Feed Your Senses” series, Dr. Wayne Daniel will be speaking about early country music in Atlanta, and The Georgia Crackers, a retro country string band, will be performing. This event will take place on Wednesday May 18th from Noon to 1:00pm in the lobby of the Rialto Center.
The Georgia State University Special Collections and Archives houses many collections pertaining to early country music in Atlanta. The Wayne Daniel Collection includes the manuscript to his book Pickin’ On Peachtree, oral histories, photographs, audio-visual recordings, sheet music, books, periodicals, and subject files covering a variety of country music artists and events. Feed Your Senses is a free Lunchtime Learning Performing Arts Series held monthly at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University. The program features a different artist or speaker each month providing a casual and fun insider’s look at their craft.
