Bloomberg terminals in the library
As you come back into the library this semester, you might notice two dual-monitor computer stations on Library North near the Research Support desk and wonder just what those machines are for. These two new stations are Bloomberg Terminals, now available in the library as part of a Student Technology Fee Grant that makes these terminals available to current Georgia State University students, faculty and staff. Other locations on campus have also received terminals, including the Law Library and Robinson College of Business.
So just what is a Bloomberg terminal? The terminals provide access to Bloomberg Professional, an information service that provides finance professionals access to real-time financial market data and general news. The information can be used to track current events, trace the effect of current or past events on markets, use the data for technical analysis and prediction, portfolio management, investment research and much more.
