Coleman Barks Poetry Reading and Book Signing

Coleman Barks, a renowned poet and Rumi translator, will give a poetry reading and sign his books Thursday, January 28th, 7-9 pm in the Troy Moore Library (9th floor General Classroom Building.) He has taught poetry and creative writing at the University of Georgia for thirty years and is the author of many Rumi translations, as well as being a student of Sufism since 1977.  His work with Rumi was the subject of an hour-long segment in Bill Moyer’s Language of Life series on PBS, and he is a featured poet and translator in Bill Moyer’s poetry special, “Fooling with Words.”
