New Grove Dictionary of Opera Online
We now have access to the New Grove Dictionary of Opera Online via the web on the Georgia State University campus. This database provides web access to the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Opera (Grove, 1992, 4 vols.) with additions and updates to the text, plus extensive image links and the functional capabilities possible with an online reference resource. The database features 11,000 articles and four million words, and encompasses over 1,800 operas and 5,600 composers and performers. It also covers librettists and literary sources, landmark opera houses, cities and countries, stagecraft, architecture, and film and musical theater.
