Updated: Altmetrics in CINAHL and Discover: Plum Print

Both the CINAHL (Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature) database and the Discover Tool now have a great feature which measures altmetric scholarly impact.

The Plum Print widget offered in Discover (e-books and articles) and CINAHL (articles) includes metrics such as usage (view/downloads), mentions (blogs), social media(tweets), and citations (Scopus) from 2013 to the present, and is noted by this image:

  • students and faculty will have the ability to identify articles of impact to support their research
  • faculty will have the ability to collect impact content on articles they have authored that are available in CINAHL and Discover.
