Signal (student newspaper) editorial, 1957

Charlayne Hunter-Gault, one of two students who integrated the University System of Georgia in 1961, will speak at Georgia State University (GSU) at 11 a.m. today (January 27) in the Student Center Speakers Auditorium.  Integration was attempted at GSU much earlier–in 1956, but failed.  Interested in finding out why?

Documents in University Archives can provide answers.  Our research guide will help you locate those documents, and you can come to Library South 8th floor to see them.
