A Classic Turns 50
“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee was first published by Harper Collins in 1960. Described as the “Best Novel of the 20th Century” (Library Journal poll of American librarians), it tells the story of Atticus Finch, a lawyer who defends a black man accused of rape, and his family in a southern small town.
