Philosophy Faculty Member Publishes New Book on Mental Disorder
Congratulations to George Graham from the Department of Philosophy for the release of his new book The Disordered Mind: An Introduction to Philosophy of Mind and Mental Illness.
Mental disorder raises profound questions about the nature of the mind. This is the first book of its kind to systematically examine and explain, from a philosophical standpoint, what mental disorder is: its reality, causes, consequence, and more. It is also an outstanding introduction to philosophy of mind from the perspective of mental disorder.
George Graham is Professor of Philosophy and Neuroscience at Georgia State University and a past president of the Society for Philosophy and Psychology. He is co-author and co-editor of the Oxford Textbook of Philosophy and Psychiatry.
