A library website designed just for you!

We’ve been hard at work, designing a new library website just for you!

In order to find out what you need from the library website, we conducted three focus groups, a task-based usability study, and a card sorting session.  Our study participants included undergraduates, graduates, faculty and staff. The new website has a variety of features that we’ve designed based on the information we received:

  • All of the information needs for Graduate Students have been collected into one convient list.Information For You – You asked for customized services, and you got them!  Whether you’re an undergraduate student, graduate student, or faculty member, you now have pages dedicated to meeting your specific needs.
  • New look and feel – You’ll be greeted by a bright, clean and streamlined website, thanks to the website redesign that is currently taking place.  This sleek template will allow you to navigate the new website with ease!
  • Simplicity – You told us that you were tired of wading through too much information, so we simplified things.  You’ll notice a lot fewer pages on the new website, so you can get right to the information you need.  And if you still can’t find what you’re looking for, we’re only a click away with Live Assistance.
  • Get help when you need it using the Live Assistance chat service!Live Assistance – If you need help while using any of our website’s features, you needn’t go far.  Live Assistance chat widgets have been placed throughout the library’s website, allowing you to chat with a library worker to get the help you need, when you need it!

The new website is still in beta, so expect to see new and exciting features rolling out over the next few weeks.  The website will officially launch on August 2, 2010, so until then keep an eye on the library blog as we showcase new features each week!  In the mean time, feel free to give us feedback on the site!
