Business Writing, Taught by Dr. Kay Bunch–12pm Troy Moore Library, 9th floor General Classroom Building– Friday, October 12th
Writing within any discipline requires attention to the genres, conventions, and expectation to that discipline. Business writing, despite its pervasiveness, is certainly no different. This presentation will focus on understanding some of the expectations of business writing as it relates to everyday business communication. Library resources on this topic include the following: The AMA handbook of business documents; The power of writing in organizations; and Business writing in the digital age. The library also has a research guide, Critical Thinking Through Writing for Business, that lists resources by subject area such as Accounting or Marketing.
