Help Bring a PoppinPod Work Booth to the Dunwoody Campus Library

For today’s students, the moments that change the trajectory of their lives do not always happen in a classroom. Sometimes they don’t happen in any type of in-person environment. Those opportunities often arrive through a screen, such as a virtual interview or an online meeting with a mentor. In those moments, confidence matters. Privacy matters. Having the right space matters.
That’s why the Dunwoody Campus Library is launching a fastmoving project to raise $8,000 to help our students become truly future ready.
A Space Designed for Real World Success
The Dunwoody campus library is launching an effort to raise $8,000 to help our students become truly future ready. Our goal is to add a dynamic new PoppinPod work booth, a private, modern, and professional space designed specifically for virtual interviews, internships, focused academic or career work, and more.
This booth will offer students something necessary but often overlooked: a private space where they can interview, hold conversations, or work on important projects without interruptions or distractions. Just a clean, quiet, professional environment where they can prepare and present their best selves when it matters most.
For a student preparing for their first internship interview, that space can make the difference between anxiety and assurance. For a working student balancing school, career, and life in general, it can be a lifeline. For a graduating student chasing an opportunity they’ve worked years to earn, it can be the place where everything comes to fruition.
The PoppinPod booth will support:
- Virtual interviews and career conversations
- Video calls and meetings
- Focused individual work
- A quiet, dedicated workspace for the GSU community, including adjunct and itinerant faculty who may not have access to private offices
A Resource That Serves the Entire Campus
While student success is at the heart of this project, the impact goes even further. The PoppinPod booth will also support the broader Georgia State University community, including adjunct and itinerant faculty who often don’t have dedicated office space. It will serve as a reliable, professional option for video calls, quiet virtual meetings, and focused individual work and needs that are only growing in today’s hybrid academic and professional world.
The PoppinPod booth will compliment spaces the Dunwoody Campus Library already offers our campus community:
- A vibrant collaborative main level
- A quiet study floor
- Seven reservable rooms equipped with full collaboration technology
The PoppinPod is a natural next step. It fills an important gap by providing a single‑user, enclosed workspace designed specifically for privacy, professionalism, and career preparation. For many students, it will be the place where hard work meets opportunity.
Why Your Support Matters
Students rely on the library not just as a place to study, but as a place to prepare for what comes next. This project ensures that when opportunities arise, our students don’t have to worry about background noise, shared spaces, or whether they look “professional enough.” They can simply focus on showing up prepared and confident.
Every gift helps turn that vision into reality. Every share helps spread the word. Together, these small actions create a lasting impact on student success.
Join Us in Bringing This Resource to Life
We are asking our students, supporters, and Perimeter alumni to join us by:
