American U publishes copyright best practices for Communication scholars
American University’s Center for Social Media has published their Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Scholarly Research in Communication. This document is intended to help Communication scholars apply the doctrine of fair use to their scholarly work. Fair use is the right to use copyrighted material without permission or payment under some circumstances, a question that often comes up in education and scholarly publishing.
