ATLANTA 2006 LABOR FILM SERIES

September 7, 14, 21, 28 (Every Thursday!)

5:30 – 7:30pm

LOCATION AND TIME

The 2006 Atlanta Labor Film Series will take place at the IBEW Auditorium,

501 Pulliam St., SW Atlanta, GA. Each program will begin at 5:30pm.

THE FILMS

We’ve got a great line-up of films, including:

• Where Do You Stand?: Stories from an American Mill & Norma Rae
• A. Philip Randolph: For Jobs and Freedom
• At The River I Stand: 1968 Memphis Sanitation Strike
• Wal-Mart: The High Price of Low Cost & Witness: Justice@Smithfield

WEEKLY UNION HOSTS

Each weekly film screening will be hosted by an Atlanta-North Georgia local union. The program will include time for organized discussions with worker and community representatives. Audience participation is encouraged!

REFRESHMENTS

Light refreshments (popcorn and beverages) will be available before and during the screenings. Attendees are welcome to bring additional food and/or beverages to the program.

COST

The best part about the 2006 Atlanta Labor Film Series  it’s free! This is an educational program, co-sponsored by Georgia State University. Attendance and parking are both free, and open to the public.
