Maya Angelou and African American Poetry
The University Library has developed a new guide to African American Poetry. The guide was created after Maya Angelou encouraged students to ask their librarians for books of poems by African-American poets during her address at Georgia State’s Second Annual Cultural Conference on Monday, March 20.
The guide provides a wealth of resources on African-American poetry in print and on the internet. Use this new guide for links to databases, internet sites, and print sources on African-American poetry and poetry research. Authors featured in this guide include Maya Angelou, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Langston Hughes, and Phillis Wheatley
