Library Transformation Plans Unveiled March 17

The University Library will showcase its renovation plans to the Georgia State community during a public unveiling, 10-11 a.m., Friday, March 17, 2006, in the Senate Salon of the Student Center. The Library Transformation plan will be presented by Dean of Libraries Charlene Hurt and project architects. A question and answer session will follow.

The Library Transformation is a comprehensive renovation of Georgia State University Libraries North and South to meet the needs of the university’s growing and diverse student body. Construction begins this summer.

In 2004, the Georgia State student body voted in favor of a student fee to help fund the renovations they want. Since then, students have been involved in the project every step of the way.
