Library's Research Tutorial to be PRIMO "Site of the Month"
The University Library’s Psychology Online Research Tutorial (PORT) was recently accepted into the Association of College & Research Libraries Instruction Section’s prestigious Peer-Reviewed Instructional Materials Online (PRIMO) project. Created by University Librarians Lyn Thaxton, Tammy Sugarman, Doug Goans, Elizabeth Winter and library staff member Jackey Hong, PORT will be featured on PRIMO as “site of the month” this spring.
PRIMO is a database of peer-reviewed high quality resources created to teach people about discovering, accessing and evaluating information in networked environments. Acceptance of material into PRIMO is judged on several criteria including pedagogy, appropriate and effective use of technology, the accuracy of information, organization and usefulness as a model to others wishing to develop a similar product.
