Four new faculty members join Pullen Library

Laura M. Botts recently was hired as archivist of the Popular Music Collection. Botts previously was a music librarian/archivist for the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon. She obtained an MLIS degree from Florida State University (1995), and a bachelor’s degree from Shorter College, GA.

Rachel Sindelar recently was hired as education liaison/reference librarian and will start in August. Sindelar most recently served as a reference librarian for the Transportation Library at Northwestern University, IL. Sindelar earned an MS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (2002), and a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University.

Skye Thomsen recently was hired as science liaison/reference librarian and will start in July. Thomsen most recently was a librarian for the J.M. Peridier Library at the University of Texas at Austin, where she obtained an MLIS degree (2001). Thomsen has a bachelor’s degree from Mills College, Oakland, CA.

William D. Walsh recently was hired as serials electronic acquisitions librarian. Walsh most recently served as director of the Chester College of New England Library. Walsh earned an MLS degree from Simmons College, Boston (2001), and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of New Hampshire, Durham.
