“Business Etiquette and Style for Written and Electronic Communication” workshops 10/05/11 and 10/06/11

Would you like to know more about the proper way to conduct business through email and written communication? The Writing Studio will be offering 2 workshops this week on business etiquette and communication. Lara Smith Sitton and Andrew Davis will teach “Business Etiquette and Style for Written Communication,” Wednesday October 5th at 12pm and Thursday October 6th at 6pm in the Troy Moore Library, 9th floor General Classroom Building. Lara, a Georgia State University graduate student in the Department of English,  is the associate director of the South Atlantic Modern Language Association, managing editor of the South Atlantic Review and teaches Business Communication at Emory University. Andrew Davis is the Instructional Technology Designer at the University of Mississippi and has taught business writing.

The University Library has many resources on business communication and business etiquette including a research guide for business communication, BCOM 3950- Business Communication and Professional Development, and books like Kiss Bow or Shake Hands and 301 smart answers to tough business etiquette questions.

The workshops offered by the Writing Studio are free for all Georgia State University students and open to all majors.
