Department of History Talk: The Sidereus Nuncius: Reports from the Gutters and Margins

The GSU Department of History will host a talk on Wednesday, October 10 by Prof. Nick Wilding, “The Sidereus Nuncius: Reports from the Gutters and Margins,” on his uncovering of a significant forgery during his research on 16th and 17th-century Italian history of science. Prof. Wilding is currently working on a biography of Venetian natural philosopher, diplomat and libertine Gianfrancesco Sagredo. He has also published a number of articles on Galileo and related topics, including, but not limited to:
