Religious Studies Students Receive Department Awards

Each year the Department of Religious Studies selects three or four students from among its undergraduate majors and Master’s students for special recognition. This year the Department is pleased to announce the following award recipients:

  • Christina Bennett, recipient of the Dr. Timothy Renick Graduate Award in Religious Studies;
  • Nicholas Newell and Katherine Ferguson, joint recipients of the Dr. Robert Arrington Undergraduate Award in Religious Studies; and
  • John Sullivan, recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Religious Studies.

Please join the Department of Religious Studies at 3:00 p.m. on April 6 in the Troy Moore Library (GCB 939) where these four students will be honored as a part of the Religious Studies Student Symposium, an event at which undergraduate and graduate Religious Studies students present papers on their latest research. This year the Department will celebrate 5 years of being a stand-alone department at Georgia State University with a special celebration.
